Windshield Chip Repair FAQ
You may qualify for FREE automotive windshield glass chip repairs with valid ICBC insurance coverage!
With applicable ICBC comprehensive coverage, you may be entitled to free windshield chip repair services as long as the damage meets the appropriate criteria*:
- the chip is the size of a loonie or smaller
- the repair will leave no residual damage greater than ¼ inch in the driver's line of vision
- the damage is not a long crack
- there isn't pre-existing damage (such as a crack) that doesn't qualify for repair
Getting that chip repaired early is more cost-effective than replacing the entire windshield, but only if you act quickly! The longer you drive with chip damage, the greater the chance it may become irreparable.
* PLEASE NOTE: These are general guidelines only. Consult your chosen glass repair facility to determine if the damage is safe and appropriate to repair (rather than replace) your windshield in accordance with the BC Motor Vehicle Act Regulations.
You Pay NO Insurance Deductible!
By choosing an approved ICBC Glass Repair facility like Peace Glass, you will pay ZERO deductible for chip repair services providing you have applicable comprehensive coverage.
ZERO Impact to your Insurance Premium
You can have as many chip repairs done as needed (until the windshield no longer meets safety standards or becomes cracked) and it WILL NOT affect your premium.
